It was a pleasure to serve as an 'arbitrator' for the quarter-finals of the Sports Arbitration Moot in Madrid last week. The quality of all the teams I saw moot was extremely high (and I'm sure for others in the final rounds I didn't see it was equally high!). Congratulations to the team from Bond University, who we put through from the quarter-finals in a very tight contest, and then went on to win the final which was in front of an audience and 3 esteemed CAS arbitrators in the palatial Madrid Arbitration Centre, as well as livestreamed on youtube - nerve-wracking stuff for the contestants. Great to meet or catchup with colleagues across the daytime panels and evening cocktails, and to visit Madrid for the first time, including a couple of morning runs in the Retiro park. Huge congrats and thank you for the invitation to the organisers Giulio Palermo, Celia Cañete, Christelle Elonvenamaye-N'Zondo and the rest of the Sports Arbitration Moot - it was a great few days!!

I am thrilled to share the end of the Sports Arbitration Moot, an experience that lasted several months, in which together with the Luiss Team we grew and arrived in Madrid among the best 16 teams. In addition we won the Best Legal Research Award, as First Runner Up.
