After an enriching and intensive five-month journey, I am thrilled to announce my participation in the Sports Arbitration Moot Competition, representing the esteemed Al Azhar University as one of only three universities from Egypt to participate in this moot. 

It has been a month since the Sports Arbitration Moot oral advocacy competition concluded in Madrid and I continue to reflect on the great experience that I had.

Still processing what has easily been one of the most meaningful experiences of my law school journey – the 4th Edition of the Sports Arbitration Moot Competition ⚖️⚽

Over the past months, I have had the distinct honor of coaching a truly talented group of future international sports lawyers from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in the 4th Edition of the Sports Arbitration Moot (SAM), Witnessing their growth, perseverance, and passion for sports law has been both inspiring and deeply rewarding. Despite facing significant financial, political, and Visa challenges, the team demonstrated extraordinary dedication and resilience by traveling to Madrid for the Elimination Rounds held at Uría Menéndez.

Thanks again to the Sports Arbitration Moot for asking me to be an arbitrator. It’s a brilliantly organised competition, giving budding lawyers the opportunity to practice their advocacy skills and develop an understanding of laws/regulations, and the nuances of arbitration, in sport. It is with a great sense of accomplishment that I announce the conclusion of the Sports Arbitration Moot.

I am pleased to share that I along with Millennium Bhandari, Surangana Dhakal, Swosti Bastola and Mahaharsha R. participated in 2nd edition of Sports Arbitration Moot. This is the first time that any team from Nepal has ever participated in the moot competition related to Sports Law and being able to qualify for top 8 is a prideful moment for the team. The last six month has been a very rich learning experience, where we were exposed to new paradigm of law.

I am thrilled to share with you the achievements of Universidad del Pacífico (PE) team at Sports Arbitration Moot 2023, in which I participated together with my amazing teammates Oscar Yalta Esterripa, Salvador Rojas Núñez, Andrea C., Alonso Joaquin Magallanes Montalvo, and David Alfaro Armas, and under the guidance of our coach Nicolás Rosero Espinosa.

I am thrilled to share with you that our team participated in the Second Edition of the Sports Arbitration Moot and reached the quarter-finals of this global competition. Despite being unable to compete in a physical setting in Madrid due to visa issues, we did our best in the online setting and made it to the quarter-finals.

It was an incredible experience to spend my time with Paula C. Arias, Esq., FCiarb guiding and helping Nicholas A. Lindsay Richman Andrew Lucas Estefanía Hernández and Joe Korzeb during this past year. Their commitment and hard work made it absolutely worth!
